Rye Resurgence Project Launch event

at The Family Jones in Denver

A project from a community championing rye as an ally for a sustainable future.

February 27th, 2024 from The Colorado Grain Chain

The San Luis Valley is in a crisis: water is running out and the topsoil is literally blowing away. In response, "The Rye Resurgence Project" led by farmers of the San Luis Valley and the San Luis Valley Water Conservancy District, champions rye for its flavor and versatility.

Tonight as the project is publicly launched, keynote speakers including Michael and Sarah Jones (Jones Farms Organics) , Kate Greenberg (CO Ag Commissioner) and the CO Grain Chain will discuss a path forward that tastes & feels good with local rye bites & sips.

Together let's inform our communities about how rye can help our soil, water, and our CO terroir. Stay tuned for updates!
