Discover High-Alpine Rye
Think you know rye? Most people associate rye with the classic marbled bread and its distinct flavor of carraway seeds. But rye and carraway are not the same - rye flavor and uses go far beyond that old-world loaf. An incredibly diverse and nutritious heritage grain, rye varietals have a wide range of flavor profiles, and the ‘Resurgence Rye’ grown in the San Luis Valley has a unique high-alpine “terroir” (i.e. characteristic taste and flavor imparted by the environment) all its own.
Visit our Rye Varietals page to learn more about rye varieties and flavors, and stay tuned for our Rye Resources page for recipes, local craft products, and more.
